Summary:
As a Scaffold Yard Distribution Center Helper, you will support the efficient operations of our distribution center. Your primary responsibilities will include handling, transporting, and inspecting scaffolding materials and assisting with inventory and order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the loading and unloading of scaffolding materials.
- Safely transporting materials within the distribution center.
- Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
- Performing quality checks on scaffolding equipment.
- Assisting with inventory management and stock control.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure the timely fulfillment of orders.
- Following safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Other Responsibilities:
- Promote, demonstrate and instill Brock’s safe and best culture in all aspects of the business.
- Comply with all manufacturer’s specifications.
- Work closely with assigned Mentor as per SSW Program.
- Follow all Brock, Contractor’s, and governmental safety requirements.
- Perform work in accordance with Contractor Specifications.
- Follow the applicable Brock, Contractor, and governmental safety requirements.
- Take direction from supervisor to learn the proper tools and equipment to use for specified tasks.
- Complete safety paperwork such as FLRA’s, Sharp Cards, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Meet Brock’s Fit For Duty Program.
- Ability to meet and maintain customer requirements for site access.
- Work in an indoor and outdoor environment including field, yard, shop locations, and office.
- Necessary Personal Protective Equipment is required.
- Travel as required.
- Working at heights.
- Lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in all types of environments, extreme heat or cold.
- Able to work in confined spaces.
- Must have transportation to and from the work location.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- High School or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to work approximately 50 hours per week.
