Maintenance Manager / Engineering Lead

Cardinal Staffing Services, is immediately hiring for a Maintenance Manager / Engineering Lead in a dairy manufacturing facility in Defiance, OH.

As a Maintenance Technician for Cardinal Staffing, you will work in a fast-paced production environment and play a key role in maintaining equipment, minimizing downtime, and supporting overall operations.

The Maintenance Manager will be involved in:

• Troubleshooting and repairing production equipment
• Performing preventative maintenance
• Supporting mechanical and electrical systems
• Maintaining equipment reliability and safety

All temporary employees are offered competitive compensation ($110k-$130k, pay will depend on experience) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager:

• Beverage & Processing Systems (Critical) - Maintain and optimize:
  High-speed liquid filling lines (bottles, cartons, pouches) Blending and batching systems (smoothies / drinkable yogurt) Homogenizers and HTST/UHT systems Ice cream mix batching and high-fat handling systems
  - Support rapid changeovers across multiple SKUs
• Plant Maintenance & Reliability
  - Lead all maintenance activities (preventive, predictive, corrective) Improve uptime, throughput, and equipment reliability Implement and manage CMMS systems Lead and develop maintenance team

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years in food or dairy manufacturing maintenance/engineering
• Strong experience with liquid processing and filling systems
• Experience with HTST/UHT, homogenization, and batching systems
• Proven track record in plant optimization and capital projects
• Experience with beverage or dairy processing strongly preferred
