Maintenance Assistant

Blue Palms Health and Rehabilitation Center of De Land is seeking a skilled Maintenance professional to join our team. As a Maintenance employee, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities and equipment are in top condition and running smoothly. You will play an essential role in identifying, diagnosing, and fixing any issues that may arise, as well as implementing preventative measures to avoid problems.

The ideal candidate for this position has a strong attention to detail, is highly organized, has HVAC knowledge and repair skills, and experience with a variety of different tools and equipment.

• Conduct routine inspections of our facilities and equipment to identify potential problems
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to avoid future problems
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from other departments
• Responding to work orders
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed
• Work with external vendors and contractors when necessary

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in a maintenance role
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills
• Experience with a variety of hand and power tools
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
