Public Area Attendant - AM & PM

Location: Bethany Beach

Key Responsibilities:

* Cleaning and Maintenance:

* Clean and sanitize public restrooms, including replenishing supplies.

* Vacuum and mop floors in lobbies, corridors, and other public areas.

* Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and decorative items.

* Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors.

* Empty trash bins and replace liners.

* Clean and maintain elevators and stairways.

* Guest Service:

* Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.

* Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries.

* Report any guest complaints or issues to the supervisor.

* Safety and Compliance:

* Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.

* Use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to safety standards.

* Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.

* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

* Inventory and Supplies:

* Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies.

* Replenish supplies in public restrooms and other areas as needed.

* Notify the supervisor of any supply shortages.

* Teamwork and Communication:

* Collaborate with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.

* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

* Assist with special projects or tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

* Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

* Excellent communication and customer service skills.

* Physical stamina and the ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects.

* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Working Conditions:

* The position requires standing, walking, and moving for extended periods.

* Exposure to cleaning chemicals and various cleaning equipment.

* Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent guest interaction.
