Location: Milford

Job Summary

Provide cost‑effective coordination of maintenance support for Service Source Delaware Regional Office owned/operated properties, vehicles, and grounds.

Responsibilities
  • Care of building, grounds and equipment, ensuring proper functioning of plumbing, electrical, mechanical equipment, and services; may perform janitorial duties.
  • Coordinate opening and closing of all locations.
  • Coordinate and perform daily rounds of main facility and synchronize operations at other locations within the SSDE portfolio.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order and coordinate emergency maintenance at all locations/facilities.
  • Accurately assess maintenance request issues and resolve problems promptly.
  • Maintain regular communication with department directors to ensure timely completion of all requests.
  • Maintain repair request log and coordinate requests at off‑site locations.
  • Schedule and oversee contractors (cleaning, painting, renovations, etc.) and serve as liaison with contractors.
  • Review and negotiate annual service contracts for facilities as necessary (snow removal, office equipment, HVAC, etc.).
  • Work with Departments to ensure contracts are in place and enforced.
  • Manage all company‑owned vehicles, including scheduling maintenance, repair, registration, and inspections.
  • Validate regular vehicle inspections, keep inspection, usage and mileage logs.
  • Serve as Leader of Health and Safety Team; comply with OSHA guidelines, conduct drills, and perform risk management and safety checks.
  • Act as primary contact for building alarm systems.
  • Accept maintenance calls and disburse requests appropriately.
  • Seek vendor assistance when needed.
  • Maintain contacts list for all contractors.
  • Work with Employment Services/Business Services to engage trainees and program participants in meaningful work experiences.
  • Support snow removal efforts for government contracts as needed.
  • Liaise with Corporate Risk Management Department and ensure compliance with risk management processes.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • 5–10 years of experience in all aspects of property maintenance and/or general contracting.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • Possess and maintain any appropriate licensure needed to perform the position effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for work‑related travel; good motor vehicle record required.

  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Well organized, self‑directed, and able to work with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Expanded knowledge of general electrical, plumbing, heating & A/C systems, and common equipment.
  • Knowledge of Universal Design and accessibility modifications.
  • Physical ability to lift equipment/supplies up to 50 pounds.
