Summary Statement

The seasonal park maintenance position will be responsible for assisting maintenance staff with all aspects of maintaining the park grounds and its facilities. Activities include mowing grass, weeding and mulching landscape beds, pruning/trimming, picking up and removing trash, cleaning restrooms, repairing structures, and participating in carpentry and welding projects. Work is performed indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions, often near water and boats, and in areas involving heights.

The employee must operate light‑duty equipment such as trucks, tractors, mowers, and other lawn equipment. Applicants must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled.

• May perform grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, athletic field maintenance, landscape bed maintenance, trash removal, vegetation removal, leaf removal and snow/ice removal.
• May perform custodial services in restrooms, offices, and other buildings.
• Provide customer services by explaining regulations, answering visitor requests, needs and complaints, and providing information about the park and surrounding areas.
• Must demonstrate responsibility, dependability, and good communication skills.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience using landscaping equipment and hand or power tools (Grounds only).
• Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked, or cancelled).
