Janitor​/light maintenance

Position Overview:

The Janitor/Maintenance role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a welcoming environment at a 2‑building property with 98 units in Delray Beach, 33444
. This position requires managing tasks ensuring consistently kept in pristine condition. Success in this role depends on being organized, detail‑oriented, and efficient.

Schedule:

6 days a week. M-F 7:30am‑4:00pm and Sunday a 4‑hour shift in the am.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize common areas such as lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and elevators at both properties.
• Clean and restock restrooms to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
• Dust and sanitize surfaces, including furniture, fixtures, and high‑touch areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste appropriately.

• Maintain the cleanliness of entryways, walkways, and outdoor seating areas at both properties.
• Remove debris, trash, and leaves from grounds, parking lots, and common outdoor spaces.

• Perform minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs or tightening fixtures.
• Report larger maintenance issues (e.g., leaks, damages, or hazards) promptly to the property manager.

• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and store supplies securely.
• Keep emergency exits and pathways clear at all times.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles; experience managing multiple sites is a plus.
• Ability to travel reliably between properties as required.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual tasks.
• Professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with residents and staff.
