ofi values in-person collaboration with colleagues – this is a fully onsite position where employees are expected to work their specific work schedule onsite. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the management of the maintenance for the Deming, NM facility. The functional responsibilities include creating safe work practices, Engineering projects execution, Controls Systems, Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) standards, and also communicating with other departments to assure proper support.

This position will directly manage and oversee the work of the Maintenance Supervisor, Controls Team, Maintenance Planner and the Maintenance Technicians. The Maintenance Manager will have daily interaction with all departments throughout the organization. In addition, this position has the responsibilities for leading the operations of the equipment PM program, maintaining schedules, quality of work, planning task assignments, training, employee selection and development, including progressive discipline.

The position will create detailed execution plans for maintenance and implement the plans within the maintenance budgets.

• Drive maintenance and engineering strategy and methodology execution, including planned maintenance.
• Oversee maintenance execution for all of the Deming Plant.
• Plan and direct the maintenance function to attain optimum utilization of machinery, materials, and labor, and to achieve optimum capacity, yields and overall cost.
• Schedule and plan predictive, preventative and breakdown maintenance jobs through various check lists and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Oversee and direct Maintenance employees. Responsibility to motivate, provide feedback, set schedules, plan trainings, and develop the overall team.
• Responsible for working closely with the CMMS Administrator and Supervisors to establish daily task distribution to all Mechanics via the CMMS portion of SAP.
• Direct all equipment maintenance troubleshooting, repairs, overhauls, and other maintenance activities to meet in-season requirements.
• Assist with Kaizen events, One Point Lesson (OPL) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) development on a regular basis to improve the line/plant efficiency and skill of the Mechanics and permanent and casual Operators.
• Study current machines, utility designs, and layout to find opportunities for process and maintenance improvements.
• Work with the Operations team to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives through various improvement projects.
• Review quotes from contractors and prepare cost estimates for plant overhaul and upgrades.
