Job Overview
As Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead dynamic maintenance teams in the installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of critical equipment across the plant, facilities, utilities, and powerhouse. Your leadership ensures smooth operations, minimizes mechanical downtime, and maximizes production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Lead teams of Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventive maintenance and machine repairs.
- Train employees on proper work methods and safety procedures.
- Schedule maintenance in collaboration with Production to address equipment and facility repairs.
- Develop and implement maintenance systems (TPM, SOPs, safety protocols).
- Provide long‑term solutions and day‑to‑day support for troubleshooting, problem analysis, and equipment failures.
- Develop, maintain, and report on key performance indicators such as supplier performance, contractor performance, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and maintain accurate records of maintenance work and inventory.
- Assume responsibility for completing or delegating required tasks in the absence of key personnel.
- Drive a positive employee experience through development and coaching.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience leading training, coaching, or mentoring programs.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills for high‑level process issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends as needed.
- Advanced knowledge of ammonia refrigeration, high‑pressure boilers, compressed air, mechanical and electrical systems, PLCs, instrumentation.
- Knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, TPM, inventory and scheduling software.
- Strong leadership skills including conflict resolution, facilitation, change management, decision making, empowerment, and delegation.
- Planning and priority setting skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Respectful, approachable, team‑oriented attitude building positive relationships.
- Bilingual language skills (preferred).
- Lead and guide Maintenance Department staff.
- Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Handle hiring, training, performance appraisal, reward and discipline, complaint resolution, and employee support.
