Description:
The Maintenance Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Denison, IA, responsible for overseeing maintenance operations and ensuring equipment reliability. Day-to-day tasks include planning and assigning maintenance work, supervising maintenance technicians, and monitoring progress to meet safety and production requirements. The role involves coordinating equipment maintenance and repair activities, implementing preventive maintenance schedules, and responding to breakdowns with effective troubleshooting.
The Maintenance Supervisor will maintain accurate maintenance records, collaborate with operations and safety teams, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help manage maintenance inventory and vendor relationships. This role requires consistent on-site presence to lead the team, uphold safety standards, and minimize equipment downtime.
- Lead Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians across plant operations
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs
- Train and coach employees on safety and maintenance best practices
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with Production teams
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement long-term solutions
- Track KPIs, equipment reliability, and maintenance performance
- Maintain USDA compliance and maintenance documentation
- Foster employee development and continuous improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- Leadership experience with coaching, mentoring, or supervision of maintenance teams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
- Excellent communication and planning skills
