The General Maintenance Worker is responsible for repair and service plant equipment, use non-medical equipment, inside/outside of buildings, building systems, and facilities throughout TMC Market area. Perform preventative maintenance as required by the department. It is the mission of the Plant Operations department to provide an environment at Texoma Medical Center that is safe, comfortable, clean, attractive, efficient and within regulatory guidelines.
QualificationsReading and numerical competency. Completion of mechanical classes strongly preferred
At least one (1) year of previous experience in industrial and/or commercial maintenance, preferably in a hospital setting.
Must have a valid, current driver's license.
Must have basic knowledge of heating water and steam boilers, HVAC, pump operations as well as a mechanical aptitude. Must be able to perform routine and preventative maintenance based on the needs of the facility. Strong customer service skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, depending on the needs of the department. Must be able to appropriately utilize the tools and equipment provided.
Must be flexible with ability to handle multiple tasks as needed.
