Job Summary

We are hiring immediate full‑time and part‑time janitor positions at Bettye Myers Middle School, 131 Garza Road, Denton, TX 76208. Other locations within the school district may also open. Online applications only.

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and return furniture to correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using specified materials and equipment; sanitize all surfaces following the eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, refine floors; shampoo carpet.
• Contribute to the team; exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Full‑time and part‑time shifts Monday through Friday: 3:30 PM‑11:00 PM, 4:00 PM‑8:00 PM, or 5:00 PM‑9:00 PM. Flexibility to meet most scheduling needs.

Fixed pay rate: $12.50 per hour. Same‑day pay available. Prior janitorial experience is preferred, but not required. Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Certain positions may require Florida Level 2 background screening.
