The Parts Runner – Specialist works under the supervision of managers, performing parts pickup, parts ordering, inventory management, shop cleanup, and assisting with various shop duties as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform all duties with Sunland’s Core Values at the forefront.
- Advocate of safety and follow safety policies and procedures.
- Order and pick up parts from vendors and the parts warehouse; deliver as needed.
- Help clean and maintain the shop.
- Collaborate with the shop manager to ensure parts are available for repair jobs.
- Travel to job sites to drop off parts or supplies when required.
- Operate shop vehicles and equipment as needed.
- Operate vacuum cleaner, power washer, and hand tools.
- Read and follow simple to complex instructions daily.
- Read maps, follow directions, or use GPS.
- Prioritize multiple parts pick‑ups.
- Organize and maintain parts storage area.
- Enter work orders and receipts into the tracking system.
- Participate in job‑site and safety meetings and all company‑related training.
- Pay attention to detail and observe safety precautions at all times.
- Work closely with all shop employees to maintain a clean and safe environment, securing tools and equipment.
- Perform any other duties assigned.

- Safety‑sensitive position; subject to company drug and alcohol policy and OHSA regulations.
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Sustain safety ambassador role by complying with federal, state and local laws, company safety policy, and proactively identifying and remedying hazards.
- Operate at professional construction field sites and shop environments; communicate verbally with others on site, over the phone, and in person.
- Must lift, push, pull, carry, and handle objects, supplies, tools, machinery, or controls weighing up to 50 lbs; reach, climb stairs or ladders, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift overhead, and traverse sites.
- Work outside frequently, in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Potential exposure to chemicals, vapors, pollutants, viruses, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles, and dust or debris.
- Full‑time position; occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
- Must be willing to travel to all job sites without exception.

- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 6 months to 1 year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Meet FMCSA English proficiency requirements under 49 CFR 391.11(b)(2).
- Valid driver's license and clean motor‑vehicle record.
- Pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.
