Assistant Chief Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in Denver, CO, for an Assistant Chief Engineer.

Responsible for providing support to the Chief Engineer with maintaining all buildings and grounds and assists in supervising all tasks related to BAS, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, access control, environmental, safety, custodial, and event coordination as the second support role with these tasks. This position supervises daily repairs and small projects to maintain the highest level of operations and aesthetics.

The Assistant Chief Engineer position requires a team player attitude, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a clear understanding of acceptable business practices, attention to detail, and project coordination to completion.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in building engineering, repair, facility management, and supervising others is required. Experience working on high-visibility properties and complicated mixed-use portfolios is desired.

Must have five years of hands‑on experience using a Building Automation System to monitor and troubleshoot HVAC issues.

• Ability to complete routine paperwork both manually and digitally.
• Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, climb, and assist in safely lifting 50 pounds.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Must submit to a criminal background check and any additional background or Drug/Alcohol tests as required.
