Position Overview
Boulder County Public Works Department is seeking to hire multiple Seasonal/Hourly Road Workers. This position performs a variety of duties in support of the maintenance of County roadways. This is an hourly, non-benefited position that will work 40 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm, May 1st through October 16th. This position will work out of 5201 St. Vrain Road, Longmont, Colorado.
Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is non‑exempt (eligible for overtime). Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.

Process Timeline- Phone Screening: held weekly until filled
- First Round Interviews: held weekly until filled

- Flagging/traffic control for projects
- Manual labor duties and operating light duty vehicles
- Use of various tools including weed trimmers, chainsaws and mowers
- Performs related work, as required
- May be reassigned during emergency situations
- No formal education or experience is required
- Applicants must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment physical
- Experience with flagging/traffic control and road maintenance experience is helpful, but training is provided
- Must have ability to use shovels, rakes, power trimmers, saws and various other tools
- Applicants must have the ability to perform manual labor, work in all types of weather conditions for extended periods of time
