Temporary Position (9 months or less)
Pay: $20 - $21 per hour. Employment starts 04/25/2026 through 10/31/2026.
Lead and Non Lead Inspector PositionsThis posting is for both Lead and Non Lead Inspector positions.
Responsibilities – Non Lead Inspector- Perform boat inspection and decontamination activities according to state regulations and standard protocols at Antero Reservoir.
- Work independently or in pairs to inspect boats launching and leaving the reservoir, focusing on invasive species such as zebra/quagga mussels.
- Provide public outreach on aquatic invasive species by distributing printed materials.
- Attend early/morning, evening, and weekend shifts as required.
- Receive on-the-job training.
- Perform boat inspection and decontamination activities at Antero Reservoir.
- Lead and train inspection staff, create schedules, and ensure shift coverage.
- Collect and verify accurate timekeeping records for payroll purposes.
- Collaborate with area work lead to resolve staff and customer issues.
- Recommend hiring/firing decisions to area work lead.
- Conduct monthly quality-control assessments of inspection station procedures.
- Maintain data entry accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and perform basic maintenance on equipment.
- Provide public outreach on aquatic invasive species.
- Attend early/morning, evening, and weekend shifts as required.
- Valid driver license and clean driving record; must use State-owned vehicle.
- Good driving record and availability for weekends, early mornings, late evenings.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service experience.
- Reliable, timely and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently.
- High school diploma.
- Experience with boats, trailers, power washers, small engines, or heavy equipment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, Access.
- Availability for weekends, early mornings, late evenings.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer service experience desired.
- Reliable, timely and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently.
- High school diploma.
- Experience with boats, trailers, power washers, small engines, or heavy equipment.
