Step into a Day on Our Maintenance Team At Superior Farms in Denver, you’ll keep production running smoothly by diagnosing issues, completing both routine and complex equipment repairs, and supporting a safe, food-grade facility. You’ll hop on a forklift, electric pallet jack, or boom lift when needed, and you’ll make sure every fix aligns with company standards and USDA requirements. Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus, and you must be able to read and write in English.

Pay Rate: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour depending on experience

* ** Non-Exempt What You’ll DoTackle a wide range of building and equipment repairs—from quick fixes to more advanced work alongside a senior technician.

Execute scheduled preventive maintenance: inspect belts and fluid levels, change filters, grease bearings and seals, and replace worn parts.

Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair pneumatic systems.

Handle facility upkeep such as replacing windows, repairing doors/locks/closets, and installing window blinds.

Maintain detailed daily/weekly/monthly PM checklists and records.

Use a computer interface to monitor and control mechanical and utility systems when required.

Install new electrical services and wiring for remodels; repair or replace wiring as needed.

Service electrical components and control circuits; replace faulty switches; perform refrigeration equipment repairs.

Respond promptly to urgent maintenance calls.

Support renovation projects: patch plaster/drywall and paint structures.

Background That Sets You Up for Success High school diploma or GED; or one year of related experience/training.

At least one year of forklift operation.

Hands-on experience with building/mechanical maintenance and repair, or a comparable blend of education and experience.

Proficiency using hand and power tools.

Skills We Value Foundational knowledge across welding, plumbing, electrical, control circuits, PLCs, pneumatics, software, hydraulics, carpentry, motors, pumps, and utility equipment.

Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and clear communication.

Ability to read and write simple instructions/correspondence and present information to small groups.

Math fluency: add/subtract/multiply/divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; compute rate/ratio/percent; interpret drawings and schematics.

Understanding of production facility operations; highly organized and able to multitask.

Accurate counting; comfortable working in varied temperatures.

Good judgment and problem-solving; familiarity with GMPs and HACCP.Willingness to work early hours, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed (not guaranteed).Spanish/English bilingual preferred; must be able to read and write English.

Computer literacy preferred for maintenance tasks.

Physical Demands Standing/Walking:
Frequent throughout the shift; total time on feet may range 8–12 hours.

Sitting:
None.

Lifting/Carrying:
Frequent handling of 1–100 lbs.; certain projects may involve loads over 100 lbs. using both arms.

Pushing/Pulling:
Frequent; move boxes up to 100 lbs. using both arms.

Bending:
Frequent; self-paced with sound body mechanics.

Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling:
Frequent.

Reaching/Handling:
Frequent; retrieve items from shelves/pallets/forklift forks; handle boxes of various sizes/weights.

Climbing:
Occasional; trucks, racks, and pallets.

Driving:
Frequent; forklift and pallet jack.

Work Environment Exposure to moving mechanical parts is frequent. You may occasionally encounter wet or humid areas, cold temperatures, elevated work areas, airborne particles or fumes, caustic/toxic chemicals, outdoor weather, electrical shock hazards, and vibration. Noise levels range from moderate to occasionally loud.
