JOB SUMMARY

This position focuses on architectural audio installations, public address (PA) systems, and network infrastructure. The role is ideal for individuals seeking to build a career in low-voltage systems, with ample opportunities for hands-on training and professional growth.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the installation of architectural audio equipment, including speakers, amplifiers, and control systems
  • Learn to perform sound tests and troubleshoot basic audio issues under supervision
  • Support senior technicians in configuring audio systems for commercial spaces
  • Public Address (PA) Systems
    • Help install and maintain PA systems
    • Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of PA components
    • Assist in training team members on system operation
  • Network Infrastructure
    • Pull, terminate, and test network cables (e.g., Cat5e/Cat6) for AV system integration
    • Support the setup of routers, switches, and other network devices
    • Learn to identify and resolve basic network connectivity issues
  • General Duties
    • Expand and maintain distributed PA systems, network infrastructure, analog and VOIP phone systems
    • Provide basic tech support for PA, POS, Phone, and computer workstations with assistance from senior IT technicians
    • Adhere to safety guidelines during all installations to ensure compliance with local codes
    • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
    • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess oral and written English skills and be able to communicate with guests and fellow employees effectively
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills in low-voltage systems
  • Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients
  • Ability to work in a chaotic or noisy environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA safety training) are a plus
  • Basic understanding of electrical wiring or low-voltage systems is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic testing equipment is an advantage
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality work
  • Ability to self-generate and complete tasks
  • Must be able to work alone and unsupervised at times
  • May be required to work in various weather conditions
  • Requires ability to work in confined spaces and on/around ladders

  • Possess 20/20 corrected vision. (Corrective lens, if required, must be worn while on duty)
  • Specific vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Possess normal or average corrected hearing. (Defined as 25 decibels or better in the frequency range of 500HZ-4000HZ considered normal speech frequency range). (If a corrective device is needed to achieve this range, it must be worn while on duty)
