Purpose
The Save A Lot Facilities Personnel is responsible for the repair, upkeep, and overall maintenance of the buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role ensures the facilities remain safe, functional, and well‑maintained through preventative maintenance, inspections, and timely repairs.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs)
- Troubleshoot and repair facility and equipment issues in a timely manner
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and urgent repair needs
- Coordinate major repairs with approved vendors when necessary
- Inspect building systems, lighting, doors, locks, and structural components
- Maintain operational condition of facility equipment and fixtures
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and maintain records
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Conduct routine safety inspections and correct hazards
- Follow OSHA, company safety, and operational procedures
- Support emergency maintenance and safety response as needed
- Maintain exterior areas including entrances, walkways, and parking areas
- Perform seasonal duties such as snow removal and general grounds upkeep
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Monitor and restock maintenance supplies
- Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and work order documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of facilities, building, or maintenance experience (Preferred)
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair work
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions
- Manual dexterity to operate tools and maintenance equipment
- Exposure to noise, dust, temperature changes, and maintenance chemicals
- Active, hands‑on work environment
