Maintenance Technician II – responsible for performing skilled maintenance duties, including inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of systems and equipment within all Colorado Coalition communities. The role includes work orders, general maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance installation/repair, custodial functions, and complete unit turnovers. Position located at 1753 N. Quentin Street, Aurora; reports to the Property Manager.
Essential Job Functions- Perform inspections, diagnoses, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment, building facilities, and associated items.
- Identify and implement effective actions to complete diverse daily work tasks.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of resident work orders, preventive maintenance, and maintain detailed records.
- Coordinate work assignments with other residents or departments as needed.
- Communicate status to team, property manager, tenants, and stakeholders.
- Operate manual and electric tools, chemicals, and supplies.
- Maintain storage/shop area in a neat, organized manner.
- Apply OSHA safety standards (hazardous materials, PPE, confined space entry, lockout/tagout, etc.).
- Perform unit turnovers and evictions, including pre‑walk, communication, execution of tasks, and custodial duties.
- Assist in keeping common community areas presentable.
- Operate and inspect transit vehicles for facility assignments.
- Adhere to confidentiality policies and resident rights.
- Assist Supervisor and Manager on special maintenance projects.
- Observe all sections of the repair plan.
- Respond to emergency situations as required.
- Report unusual circumstances to the Property Manager.
- Maintain a respectful work environment that reflects cultural competency and workforce diversity.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior customer service experience with homeless or low‑income populations preferred.
- Extensive hands‑on maintenance experience in apartment or multifamily settings.
- Certifications in property maintenance fields such as HVAC (NATE), Plumbing, Electrical, EPA, CAMT, etc., required.
- Combination of education and experience may be substituted for certification.
$25.35 – $30.42 per hour, based on relevant experience.
