Position Summary
The Chief Building Engineer is the sole maintenance professional responsible for the complete daily operation and upkeep of a 164-unit high-rise residential property. This is a hands‑on role requiring direct execution of all maintenance tasks — from daily trash collection to complex HVAC repairs. The position requires equal commitment to:
- Daily operational maintenance, ensuring resident satisfaction and property value
- Life safety systems, ensuring compliance and safety
- Vendor management, ensuring quality and cost control
Daily maintenance tasks form the foundation of this role and must be completed consistently before addressing other responsibilities. Strong communication with the on‑site manager is essential.
This position requires someone who takes pride in both the details of daily property care and the technical expertise of building systems management.
Salary
: $85,000
