Schedule:
This swing shift hours are Monday-Thursday 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Friday 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight). The pay rate listed is $20.79 per hour, which includes a 7.5% shift differential or $1.45 per hour for swing shift hours worked. The pay rate for this position without the 7.5% shift differential is $19.34 per hour. As a Custodian I, this position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing campus facilities to support students, staff, faculty, and visitors of the Auraria Campus.
Duties include comprehensive custodial work such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors; cleaning and disinfecting restrooms; and restocking restroom supplies. Responsibilities also include timely removal of waste and recycling, snow removal and ice mitigation as needed, and restorative or routine maintenance of hard-surface floors and carpets. The role also responds to emergencies and other facility needs as they arise.
Minimum Qualifications:
Six (6) months of full-time custodial or laundry experience in a professional work setting. Must possess a valid unencumbered Colorado driver's license at the time of application. Preferred Qualifications:
Six (6) months performing comprehensive floor care, including stripping, scrubbing, and finishing hard surfaces, as well as carpet extraction and maintenance.
Conditions of Employment:
The person selected for this position must maintain their ability to stand for long periods of time as well as kneel, stoop, crouch, reach and grab in the performance of job-related duties. This person selected for this position must maintain their ability to exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs.

Must be willing and able to be exposed to adverse weather while performing snow removal duties in front of building entry/exit ways (as needed). Must maintain a valid unencumbered driver's license.
