Hourly Wage Estimate

$19.29 - $24.81 per hour.

Job Summary

Responsible for floor care of resilient flooring and carpet throughout the hospital. Performs general Hospitality Associate, Environmental Services I duties when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational knowledge of floor equipment (vacuums, burnishers, scrubbers, wet vacs, carpet extractors, imop).
  • Knowledge of floor procedures including dust mopping, mopping, stripping, application of floor finish, burnishing.
  • Operational knowledge of floor chemicals used in the hospital.
  • Operational knowledge of floor pads used for daily maintenance, burnishing, and stripping.
  • Ensure proper signage placed at locations for hazards such as wet floor warnings.
  • Proper handling of all chemicals and adherence to infection control policies and PPE use.
  • Identify mechanical issues with equipment and report timely and appropriately.
  • Clean and maintain flooring in patient & non-patient areas, offices, common areas, hallways, rest rooms.
  • Maintain daily, weekly, monthly floor maintenance schedule.
  • Care and clean all floor equipment.
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ years experience in care and maintenance of resilient floors.
