Job Summary
We are looking for a janitorial staff member to maintain the cleanliness of our office and worksite facilities. Non‑plant personnel required for 3rd shift (10:30pm to 6:30am). Pay rate: $21.28 to $21.62 per hour.
Essential Functions- Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing/buffing machines.
- Uses ladders and other equipment to dust, wash walls, clean ceilings, remove trash, and polish light fixtures.
- Washes and replaces blinds; moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas.
- Uses chemicals and cleaning solutions to remove stains from rugs, drapes, walls and floors.
- Performs incidental seasonal tasks such as sweeping, raking leaves, cutting grass, and removing snow.
- Applies and removes protective applications to walls, floors and equipment.
- Empty waste baskets, replace liners, clean office furniture, glass, windows and vending machines.
- Sanitize restrooms, clean toilets, basins, urinals, and refill dispensers.
- Clean overhead vents, dust blinds, polish wood furniture, and clean interior partition glass.
Skills & Qualifications
- Basic janitorial duties and responsibilities knowledge.
- Good listening and verbal communication skills; ability to understand and anticipate client needs.
- Must maintain a neat appearance; uniform required at some work sites.
- Must attend periodic training and safety meetings.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred; 6 months of commercial facilities janitorial experience desired.
Small‑to‑large office environments. Safety glasses required while performing certain tasks. Fast‑paced work environment with exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products and noise.
Physical DemandsOccasionally lifts and/or moves a minimum of 40 pounds of office and facilities equipment (cleaning products, tools, ladders) and trash.
