The Maintenance TPM EM Coordinator is responsible for leading the implementation and sustainment of the Total Productive Maintenance (EM) Maintenance Pillar while supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the maintenance department. This role serves as the department coordinator for EM activities, maintenance‑related projects, and reliability improvement efforts. The position also serves as a backup for the Maintenance Planner and Inventory Specialist, ensuring continuity of maintenance planning, scheduling, and spare parts management processes.
The Maintenance EM Coordinator works closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Leadership teams to improve equipment reliability, reduce losses, enhance maintenance processes, and support world‑class manufacturing performance.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safety and Environmental Responsibilities- Lives the Safety Stand and complies with all plant safety requirements. Safety is a condition of employment.
- Demonstrates personal ownership of safety and promotes safe work practices throughout the facility.
- Reports accidents, near misses, injuries, unsafe conditions, and equipment abnormalities immediately.
- Participates in safety, environmental, TPM, quality, and housekeeping initiatives.
- Complies with all environmental regulations, waste disposal procedures, and recycling requirements.
- Maintains clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S standards.
- Lead implementation and sustainment of the TPM EM Maintenance Pillar.
- Coordinate EM activities, audits, assessments, and action plans within the maintenance department.
- Maintain EM boards, metrics, standards, and visual management systems.
- Facilitate focused improvement activities aimed at eliminating equipment losses and improving reliability.
- Support Autonomous Maintenance and Planned Maintenance initiatives throughout the facility.
- Track EM key performance indicators and communicate progress to plant leadership.
- Assist in developing training materials and coaching maintenance personnel on TPM & EM methodologies.
- Promote a culture focused on achieving zero injuries, zero defects, and zero losses.
- Support PM Day activities and ensure TPM standards are maintained and continuously improved.
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Coordinate and manage maintenance department improvement projects from planning through completion.
- Assist with implementation of new maintenance programs, procedures, and systems.
- Track project timelines, resources, budgets, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to execute reliability and process improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, status reports, and performance metrics.
- Support equipment upgrades, capital projects, and maintenance‑related continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist with root cause analysis investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance workflows, efficiency, and organizational effectiveness.
- Provide coverage for the Maintenance Planner during absences or as business needs require.
- Assist with planning and scheduling maintenance work to optimize equipment reliability and plant performance.
- Review work requests and support work order management activities within SAP.
- Help coordinate maintenance schedules, PM Day activities, contractor work, and outage planning.
- Support maintenance backlog management and schedule compliance initiatives.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation within SAP.
- Provide coverage for the Inventory Specialist during absences or as business needs require.
- Support inventory accuracy and spare parts management activities.
- Receive, issue, and properly store maintenance spare parts.
