Full Time Salary Range: $1.00 - $1.00 Hourly Product Support Specialist at “Top Workplace”
The USME Product Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and compliance of medical equipment across various USME branches. This role involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of medical devices, as well as providing technical support and training to staff.
A Day in the Life- Install, maintain, and repair medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Provide remote support to field-based technicians via Teams, phone, or email for troubleshooting and repair processes
- Travel to branches across the US to provide on-site support for troubleshooting, repair and training
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
- Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly and effectively
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records for compliance and reporting
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards
- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for technical support and parts identification
- Assist in evaluating new equipment for operational suitability
- Respond quickly to urgent repair requests to minimize downtime
- Participate in safety audits and quality improvement initiatives
- Train USME staff on scheduled and unscheduled maintenance procedures
- Assist in the development of training materials
- Travel nationally as needed
- All other duties as assigned
- 1-3 years of relevant technical experience (Hospital or similar)
- A solid technical foundation in electronics or mechanical
- 3 years hands on troubleshooting experience
- Ideally certifications in CBET but not required
- Proven experience in medical equipment maintenance and repair.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment as required.
- Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
