Facility Lead

The Denver Hospice has an immediate opening for a Facility Lead.

Location:

Denver, CO

Status:
Full-time, Hourly

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8-5

Hourly Pay Range: $24.55 - $28.85

Supplemental Pay:
Based on position, schedule and/or availability:
Overtime

Mileage and Expense Reimbursement:
Sixty-two and a half cents per mile

Rewarding Work You Will Do:

The Facility Lead is responsible for supporting the safe, clean, functional, and well-maintained condition of the organization's facilities, grounds, equipment, and common areas. This position serves as a primary resource for day-to-day facility operations, including work order management, routine building and grounds maintenance, custodial and housekeeping support, basic electrical and plumbing repairs, building systems, access control, life safety, inventory, and facility-related event support.

The Facility Lead prioritizes and responds to facility needs, coordinates services and vendors when necessary, maintains appropriate supplies and equipment, and provides functional coordination and support to ensure facility needs are addressed efficiently and effectively. The position may participate in an on-call rotation and performs other duties necessary to support a safe, welcoming, and operational environment.

Facilities Operations & Maintenance

  • Monitors facility-related emails and work orders and responds to requests in a timely manner.
  • Receives, prioritizes, tracks, and completes routine facility work orders or coordinates appropriate assistance when needed.
  • Conducts building walks and inspections to identify maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and operational concerns.
  • Performs routine and minor building maintenance and repairs within the scope of knowledge, training, and authorization.
  • Performs minor plumbing repairs, clears routine clogs, and completes scheduled flushing of designated plumbing lines.
  • Replaces light bulbs and batteries for facility-related equipment, including wireless bed transmitters and access badges.
  • Performs routine generator testing as assigned.
  • Resets or assists with building systems and equipment, including elevators, fire panels, and nurse call systems, as appropriate.
  • Assists with furniture moves, furniture assembly, installation of sit-stand desks, and hanging or installing whiteboards, clocks, pictures, signage, and similar items.
  • Prepares offices and work spaces for new hires and other organizational needs.
  • Moves and distributes boxes, equipment, furniture, and supplies throughout the facility.
  • Identifies maintenance needs that exceed the scope of the position and coordinates appropriate vendor or contractor assistance.
  • Participates in the facility on-call rotation, currently occurring every other week.

Grounds, Custodial & Common Area Support

  • Performs routine grounds and exterior maintenance, including lawn care, mulching, landscaping, and seasonal activities.
