HIRING SPECIFICATIONS:
Required:
1. Two years of custodial experience.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
1. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
2. Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of a computer and Microsoft Office tools.
3. Working knowledge of good housekeeping practices and procedures; ability to operate cleaning equipment.
4. Working knowledge of broiler room/geothermal system operations and related equipment.
5. Leadership skills.
6. Ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor.
7. Ability to demonstrate good judgment and promote spirit of cooperation with others.
8. Competency working in a culturally diverse environment.
BASIC FUNCTION:
Serve as lead custodial staff in assigned facilities. Responsibilities may include coordinating staff schedule;
Maintaining inventories and supplies;
Conducting basic building safety inspections;
Providing maintenance and repair to equipment and building facilities; and performing custodial duties. The essential functions as shown below represent only the key areas of responsibility;

The Operations Engineer Chief directs the work of the custodial employees in the building and assures the performance of cleaning assignments, building maintenance, and safety requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
POSITION INVENTORY: B22
FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt
FT/PT: Full Time
DAYS: 260 Day Calendar HOURS: 8 Hour Day
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Constant standing and walking. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and carrying up to 10 ft. Frequent use of telephone and computer.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Frequent inside, outside, and exposure to extremes of temperature/humidity
