Heritage Building Maintenance is a privately owned company founded in 2011, based in central Iowa, serving commercial clients with high‑quality cleaning and microbial protect ant services. In 2022 Heritage was acquired by Bee‑Clean Building Maintenance, Canada’s largest privately held janitorial company.

• Under the direction of the Supervisor, perform janitorial duties for office or medical buildings and related areas. Provide quality customer service at all times.

• Full Time: 5pm‑1:30am Mon‑Fri or 5:30pm‑2am Mon‑Fri (varies by location). 30+ hours per week.
• Part Time: varies by location. Less than 29 hours per week.

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
• Dust and clean office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
• Clean windowsills and windows.
• Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
• Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.
• Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.

• Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willingness to learn.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work within the United States.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check.

• The work is performed in a variety of office or medical locations with a wide range of people and functions.
• The job requires routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing up to fifty pounds. Driving to multiple buildings each night is required to assist with openings and training new employees.

• Direct Deposit Pay every other Friday.
• Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance and 401K with a company match available for full‑time employees working 30+ hours per week.
• Paid Holidays after 90 days for full‑time employees working 30+ hours per week.
• PTO accumulation for full‑time employees working 30+ hours per week.

$12.50–$15.00 per hour (Thornton).
