Shift: Mon - Fri, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; on-call and overtime work required
Job Type: Full Time
Compensation: $28.59/hour
Job Summary:
Maintenance Technicians perform inspections, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs on process equipment with a focus on Precision Maintenance and Reliability. This role supports safe, efficient plant operations through preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of conveying systems, pumps, compressors, and rotating equipment.
- Perform hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical maintenance and repairs
- Troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic and precision maintenance tools
- Work safely and follow all lockout/tagout, GMP, HACCP, food safety, and quality procedures
- Operate hoists, forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, and power tools
- Use millwright hand tools, measuring devices, and alignment equipment
- Complete preventative maintenance, inspections, and housekeeping tasks
- Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Participate in ongoing technical and safety training
- Support plant reliability, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures, dusty, noisy, and industrial environments while using required PPE
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and stairs, work at heights, and stand/walk for extended periods
- Ability to work in confined spaces such as tanks, boilers, and process vessels
- Strong attendance, punctuality, and safety awareness required
- Ability to safely handle chemicals, solvents, and cleaners used in maintenance work
- Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
- Experience using Microsoft Office products and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Familiarity with precision maintenance tools such as laser alignment, ultrasound, and thermography equipment preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and support reliability-focused maintenance practices
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of industrial manufacturing or maintenance experience preferred
- Strong experience in mechanical and/or industrial maintenance required
