• Under general direction, act as the on‑site project leader to plan, execute, and complete projects with assigned customers in a safe and cost‑effective manner.
• Perform or delegate tasks as required to execute and fully complete assigned projects, including hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning, and project closeout.
• Maintain financial results of assigned projects, including costs, project billings, and collections, while ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Actively pursue selling change orders and coordinate communication with the customer during all phases of the project.
• Ensure proper execution of warranty and provide work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administration as necessary.
• Ensure work performed complies with the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) and applicable Local, State, and Federal legal requirements, operating on the job with the highest ethics.
• Adhere to, and ensure Johnson Controls staff and subcontractors adhere to, all safety standards.
• Provide technical assistance and training to System Technicians, Electrical Installers, and System Designers; mentor and coach as required.
• Oversee subcontractor payment and billing processes and manage the selection, ordering, budget, and delivery schedule of materials via the web‑based tool process.
• Ensure installation is in accordance with Johnson Controls standards and project requirements, and manage the loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers.
• Validate complete system functionality, resolve issues with subcontractors and others, and provide accurate project as‑built and commissioning documentation.
• Complete project billings in a timely and accurate format to the client, maintain profitability goals, and ensure positive cash flow through best business practices.
• Communicate the status of projects to management as required and provide monthly forecasts of revenue, costs, and gross margin.
• Send warranty letters to JCI customers upon substantial completion and ensure proper execution of warranty.
• Develop project plans, coordinate required resources, and ensure timely and cost‑effective installation and completion of assigned projects.
• Perform site‑specific training for owner/operator on the total system in full or with assistance; provide proper documentation and manuals for system operation.
• Develop and maintain viable long‑term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Attend job progress meetings as required and coordinate with Project Engineers on bundled jobs to deliver cost‑efficient solutions that exceed customer expectations.
