This job requires the ability to work evening and overnight hours due to customer requirements.
Core Responsibilities:- Lead and supervise hood cleaning crews to ensure quality work and safe jobsite practices.
- Set up and take down cleaning equipment, including ladders, plastic sheeting, chemical solutions, vacuums, and high-pressure hoses.
- Scrape grease buildup from exhaust hoods, fans, and ducts.
- Use pressure-washing equipment to thoroughly clean kitchen exhaust systems.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with industry safety standards and fire prevention regulations.
- Train and mentor technicians on proper cleaning procedures and company policies.
- Conduct final quality inspections and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Take before-and-after digital photos of completed work for documentation.
- Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or customer concerns to management.
- Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Always adhere to company policies and safety procedures.
- Current Valid Driver’s License
- Reliable transportation to and from WSI’s central office location in Des Moines
- Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record Check (clean driving record preferred)
- Ability to drive a company vehicle, including pulling a small trailer to job sites
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Previous hood cleaning or related industry experience preferred
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in tight spaces
- Comfortable working in various conditions (hot, cold, humid, greasy, etc.)
- Availability to work nights, early mornings, and some weekends
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
