Position Summary

The Maintenance Planning Manager is responsible for developing and managing maintenance planning processes that improve equipment reliability, maximize asset availability, and support safe, efficient production within the beverage co-packing facility. This role manages preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance planning activities, ensuring resources, materials, and schedules are aligned with operational priorities.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to support equipment reliability and production goals.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure effective use of labor, tools, parts, and external resources.
  • Manage the maintenance work order process, including prioritization, planning, scheduling, execution tracking, and documentation.
  • Review equipment history and maintenance data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure maintenance plans include accurate job scopes, required materials, labor estimates, safety requirements, and necessary documentation.
  • Develop and maintain accurate equipment records, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Partner with procurement and inventory teams to improve spare parts availability, inventory accuracy, and maintenance readiness.
  • Support root cause analysis efforts and continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment performance and reliability.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to support specialized maintenance activities and ensure work is completed safely and effectively.
  • Assist in developing maintenance strategies for new equipment installations, process improvements, and facility upgrades.
  • Provide guidance and support to maintenance team members on planning processes, doc.
  • Orders, receives, inventories, organizes, and properly stores maintenance parts, supplies, and equipment.documentation standards, and best practices.
  • Provide hands-on maintenance support when needed to assist with troubleshooting, repairs, equipment improvements, and maintain production continuity.
  • Meets all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements; participate in food safety meetings as required.
  • Cultivates and promotes a strong safety culture and follows all safety policies, procedures and regulations; identify and communicates workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions; participates in safety meetings as required.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, maintenance management, manufacturing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of maintenance planning, reliability, or maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with CMMS platforms and maintenance planning practices.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, safety practices, and reliability improvement methods.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints; trouble shoot as needed
  • Ability to work effectively both independently as well as in a team environment to attain personal, team and company goals
  • Well-organized and skilled in time management, prioritization, scheduling, and meeting deadlines
Work Expectations
  • This is a regular, full-time position with daily hours on site.
  • The ability to be available for work daily and extended hours as necessary.
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment, manufacturing plant and occasionally outside in what may be adverse weather conditions.
