Accountant, Accounting & Finance, Financial Reporting

Aegis is seeking an Accountant to join our client's organization in Des Plaines, IL. The ideal candidate has the following skills and experience:

• Bachelors Degree in accounting
• 2+ years of experience processing exempt, and non-exempt payroll (35-45% of the job).
• Experience with state and federal wage and hour laws.
• Payroll tax laws and regulation experience.
• Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or technical manuals.
• Experience with writing routine reports, business correspondence, and documenting accounting procedures
• Able to effectively create and present information; and respond to questions from employees and managers.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Microsoft experience – Word, Excel – intermediate to advanced using of Excel – Vlookups and pivot tables.
• Expense reporting experience
• Cost accounting experience – daily maintenance of product cost roll-up, weekly maintenance of product KPI calculations.
• General ledger experience – daily banking activities, cash management, cast posting, acting backup AP function.

Nice to have:

• Accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.
