Addison Group is partnering with a publicly traded, global organization to identify a Segment Assistant Controller to join its corporate accounting team. This is a high-impact leadership role within a well-established company where accounting plays a critical role in driving business performance.

Key Responsibilities- Own accounting policies and technical documentation, including white papers and methodologies
- Standardize accounting processes across multiple divisions and locations
- Lead revenue recognition (POC) and review complex contracts to ensure proper accounting treatment
- Establish and maintain accounting policies to ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and applicable regulations
- Lead implementation of new accounting standards and drive cross-functional alignment
- Oversee complex accounting areas including revenue recognition, inventory/standard costing, leases, and goodwill
- Manage the monthly close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Review balance sheet and income statement activity, identifying key drivers and areas for improvement
- Partner with operational leadership to provide insights that support business strategy and performance
- Lead internal and external audit processes, including issue identification and remediation
- Ensure SOX compliance and consistent application of accounting policies
- Drive process improvements and support initiatives related to shared services optimization
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (advanced degree a plus)
- CPA strongly preferred
- 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Public accounting background and/or experience within a large, complex organization
- Experience with revenue recognition (POC), inventory, and lease accounting required
- Strong technical accounting expertise (US GAAP)
- Proven leadership and team development experience
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with large ERP systems and reporting tools preferred
- Competitive base salary in the $180K – $200K range
