Work Model: Hybrid, two days per week at the Des Plaines office located at 2250 E Devon St.
OVERVIEWThe Account Manager supports the Accounts Receivable Financing team by assisting with daily client operations, processing routine transactions, and building foundational account management skills. You'll work closely with experienced team members, receive hands‑on training, and serve as a primary contact for assigned clients.
Key Responsibilities 1. Account Management Support (30%)- Process invoice purchases and routine account transactions.
- Review client submissions and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, debtor information, and documentation.
- Assist with held invoice reviews and follow‑up activities.
- Monitor account activity and elevate issues when appropriate.
- Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned clients.
- Communicate funding updates, account activity, and transaction status to clients.
- Assist with reserve requests and document collection.
- Partner with clients and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure timely service.
- Maintain proactive communication throughout approval and resolution processes.
- Participate in training programs designed to build expertise in factoring and account management.
- Gain exposure to Accounting, Credit, Compliance, Collections, and other areas of the business.
- Collaborate with team members across the department to develop a broad understanding of Accounts Receivable Financing operations.
- Learn to review financial information and identify items requiring escalation.
- Maintain complete and accurate client records and transaction documentation.
- Follow established policies, procedures, and risk management guidelines.
- Support audit readiness through proper record‑keeping and documentation practices.
- Ensure transactions comply with applicable credit and operational requirements.
- Assist with departmental projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide support to other Accounts Receivable Financing teams during high‑volume periods.
- Help maintain efficient workflows and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent years of service.
- Two+ years of experience in client services and/or banking.
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to learn and retain complex policies and procedures.
- Ability to multitask, manage time and priorities in multiple process environments.
- Demonstrated aptitude and curiosity for technology and systems, including emerging tools such as AI; ability to quickly learn, adapt, and leverage digital solutions to drive efficiency and innovation.
