Our client, a growing manufacturer with multiple facilities across the US, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its corporate finance team in Des Plaines, IL. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that continues to grow through acquisition while investing heavily in its people, systems, and processes. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, this role offers broad exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the business.

[HYBRID] Accounting Manager Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process while ensuring timely and accurate GAAP-compliant reporting
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reporting
• Collaborate cross-functionally to provide financial analysis supporting productivity, profitability, and business decisions
• Oversee inventory accounting, standard costing, and cost analysis across multiple manufacturing locations
• Track, audit, and report capital expenditures
• Develop and improve accounting controls, policies, and financial processes
• Serve as the primary liaison for annual external audits
• Support ERP implementation and financial systems optimization initiatives
• Provide financial support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects
• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and special projects

[HYBRID] Accounting Manager Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required
• Manufacturing accounting industry experience required
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and standard costing/COGS required
• ERP system experience required;
  Dynamics 365 a bonus
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) required
