Entry Level Staff Accountant

We have been retained by a well established construction and engineering firm that is seeking a Staff Accountant to handle the Accounts Receivables, invoicing and billing for a well established firm located in the south western suburbs of Chicago. This Staff Accountant role is perfect for an entry level finance or accounting college graduate who wants to get their start and gain valuable experience.

The team boasts a stable, work friendly culture and many employees have been with the firm for quite some time and there is a history of promotions. The benefit package is amazing and this is a great opportunity for the Staff Accountant to work with a dominant play in this industry.

$60,000 to 70,000 per year plus bonus

• Entry level role someone directly out of college and ideally with 1 year experience in accounting
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
• Soft skills are important and ability to work around distractions, stay focused
• Will be making calls to customers for collection calls, but very limited most customers paying on time
• Assist with reconciliations and variance support and construction draws
• Data entry of invoices into their system
• The Staff Accountant will be entering vendor invoices on a weekly basis
• AR side will include approximately 50 customers with multiple line items and will apply payments to various projects
