Overview:
Assists the Program Manager in the supervision of youth in school sites.
Campus Location:
Off Campus
Length of Employment: One academic year, contingent upon performance and organizational needs.

Hours Available: 1-10 hours/week
Schedule Flexibility: This position requires a fixed schedule. Student availability should be submitted in advance. School assignment will be made based upon the agreed-upon schedule.
Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities (TDRs) and Learning Outcomes
· Manages a pod of 15 students through social, emotional and academic enrichment programs designed to support elementary or middle school students

· Assist with the delivery of daily lessons that focus on literary skill development, STEM, social-emotional enrichment and healthy relationships

· Tutor or provide homework support for youth

· Assist with leading daily enrichment programs that focus on art, STEAM, and/or sports and character building

· Build positive relationships with youth that support their success ad well-being

· Support delivery of group instruction in a safe and structured environment

· Supervise youth during program hour in a safe, sensitive, developmentally appropriate, positive manner

· Help youth build healthy positive relationships with each other, with adults, and with their families

· Engage parents and family members as needed to support the youth

· Demonstrate professional behavior that supports team efforts and enhances team behavior, performance and productivity

· Maintain timely and accurate records concerning youth participation and outcomes as needed

Candidate Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities or KSOAs)
Qualified candidates will have the following competencies and skills:
- Must be eligible for Federal Work Study.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Enrolled in at least six credit hours during fall and spring semesters.
- Experience leading educational curriculum for groups of 10 or more youth
- A deep passion for working with youth and families.
- A strong sense of teamwork, leadership skills, and project management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with a diverse group of team members and youth.
- At least one-year previous experience working with groups of elementary and/or middle school- ages youth in an after school or camp setting.
- Attention to detail.
