Job DescriptionThe Oakton College Summer STEAM Camp program is looking for enthusiastic and innovative assistants for the 2025 summer camp season. Camp Assistants will support instructors and students, assist with hands‑on and computer‑based lessons and projects and supervise campers ages 8‑14.
LocationOakton College Des Plaines and Skokie Campuses
Essential Functions of the Position- Assist with classroom setup (e.g., loading computer programs, setting up laptops, organizing supplies)
- Assist the instructor with students: answering questions, helping with projects
- Provide and oversee activities, escort students to classrooms, restrooms, cafeteria and supervise during lunch and breaks
- Facilitate student pickup and drop off
- Other duties as assigned
Various STEAM topics, hands‑on and computer‑based lessons and projects
Requirements- Must be at least 18 years old by June 5th
- Must be punctual, prepared, dependable and responsible
- Must be a team player, contributing to the success of program
- Have the ability to work with and show patience with youth participants ages 8‑14
- Previous experience working with youth preferred
- Experience with technology helpful, but not required

Monday 3/23‑3/27 - Times: 8:15 am – 12:15 pm

Oakton College Skokie Campus 7701 Lincoln Ave.
- Days:
Monday‑Thursday - Time: 8:30 pm‑4:15 pm (4‑day week 29 Hours per week; 3‑day week 21.75 hours per week)
