During the school year the Night Custodian will complete specific room cleaning assignments and other daily routine work as directed by the work schedule. Additional maintenance work may be assigned by the Head Custodian, Building Principal, or Director of Maintenance and Operations. During school break periods the work assignments will be made daily or as needed.

• Elementary School: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Middle School: 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Effective oral and written communication in English
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
• Valid Illinois driver’s license

District 62 serves approximately 4,900 students in grades pre‑K‑8 across 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and 1 year‑around K‑8 school. This assignment will be at one elementary school in the district.

Starting salary: $45,427, fully paid individual health benefits. The position is part of the Custodian‑Maintenance Association and salaries are covered by the collective bargaining agreement. Salary details:  Benefits information:
