Position: Adjunct Faculty – Nursing

Class being taught: NUR 109 Nursing Concepts 2A Pediatrics
Responsibilities- Provide direct supervision and guidance to nursing students during clinical rotations in pediatric units (hospital, outpatient, or community settings).
- Consultation with and evaluation of students.
- Maintenance of clear records on student performance, attendance, and grading.
- Compliance with departmental and institutional policies, including submission of midterm and final grades, keeping office hours, and decisions regarding instructional matters such as texts, assignments, and grading standards.
- Adhere to OCCAFA contract provisions and institutional procedures.
Part‑time faculty are paid on a lecture hour equivalent (LHE) basis. For the 2024‑25 academic year rates are $1191/LHE for faculty without doctorates and $1262/LHE for faculty with doctorates. Faculty advance one step in the salary schedule after successfully completing two fall and spring semesters with 3 or more LHEs taught in each semester.
Qualifications- MSN, licensure as an RN, and a minimum of 2 years of full‑time nursing experience.
- Preferred: MSN with recent pediatric experience in a hospital setting; prior college‑level clinical and college teaching experience.
