School Psychologist in Des Plaines, IL

Bring your passion for supporting students to a full-time, onsite opportunity as a School Psychologist working with K-5th grade learners. This contract role offers the chance to make a positive and lasting impact in a vibrant elementary school setting near Des Plaines, IL. Youll work on the PSYCH 26/27 team during school hours, from 8:50am to 3:35pm, providing essential psychological services to young children as they learn and grow.

• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement (Illinois)
• Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
• Experience conducting cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and staff
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred

• Perform psychological and psycho-educational evaluations for K-5th grade students
• Interpret data and results to inform interventions and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote positive student outcomes
• Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention as needed
• Support students social-emotional development and contribute to a safe, inclusive school environment
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to implement strategies and support staff and families
• Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
