Bring your passion for supporting students to a full-time, onsite opportunity as a School Psychologist working with K-5th grade learners. This contract role offers the chance to make a positive and lasting impact in a vibrant elementary school setting near Des Plaines, IL. Youll work on the PSYCH 26/27 team during school hours, from 8:50am to 3:35pm, providing essential psychological services to young children as they learn and grow.
Qualificationsand
Preferred Experience:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement (Illinois)
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Experience conducting cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Perform psychological and psycho-educational evaluations for K-5th grade students
- Interpret data and results to inform interventions and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote positive student outcomes
- Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Support students social-emotional development and contribute to a safe, inclusive school environment
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to implement strategies and support staff and families
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
