Quality Engineer

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently hiring a Quality Engineer to join our client in Des Plaines, IL. This direct hire opportunity is fully onsite.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for resolving issues when a customer receives non-conforming parts. This role requires 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of fastener manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to be able to identify the details and describe the problem succinctly with data.

• Respond to customer complaints for non-conforming parts or issues
• Identify the problem and contain the issue
• Analyze root causes using problem-solving tools
• Collect and review data to provide solutions and act objectively while supporting the customer’s needs
• Provide realistic timelines and ensure all deadlines are met
• Escalate requests that are not warranted

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of fastener manufacturing processes
• Automotive industry experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to recognize time constraints for the customer and find a quick resolution
