Batting Cage Attendant

The Cage/Cashier Attendant is responsible for the supervision of patrons and enforcement of rules and regulations in the Mountain View Batting Cages. This is a seasonal position ending October 31st.

Essential Duties:

  • Greeting the public. Demonstrate and promote positive guest relations and exceptional customer service. Provide information on Park District activities
  • Enter all transactions into POS system, collect payment, issue change and receipt for all admissions or concessions sales.
  • Balance cash drawer at end of each shift, complete all required paperwork
  • Prepare concession food, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Responsible for operating and cleaning food preparation equipment.
  • Respond to emergencies in the facility which may include incidents of a serious nature.
  • Maintain batting cage area during shift, to include the batting cage house and the area around the batting cages and skate park.
  • Responsible for organizing batting cage material (helmets, bats)
  • Clean work areas at the end of designated shift.
  • Work as a team with entire staff.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Other Duties:

  • Answer all guest questions and concerns.
  • Assist with incoming groups, as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual and Crisis Manual
  • Direct patrons in the event of an emergency, such as fire, severe weather
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Position

    Qualifications:

    • Education:

      Some High School Classwork. Must be 16 years of age.
    • Experience:

      Money handling experience recommended. Experience using Point of Sales system preferred.
    • Certifications:

      First Aid, CPR and AED certifications, Classes available through Park District. Food Handler Training Certificate required following employment.
