Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

A well-established industrial technology organization is seeking a Controller to lead its accounting and financial operations in North America. This role is a hands‑on leadership position responsible for financial reporting, close processes, cash management, and business partnership with senior leadership.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting fundamentals with operational finance experience and enjoys working closely with commercial and operational teams to drive performance, profitability, and process improvement.

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial statements with clear variance analysis and insights
• Lead day-to-day accounting operations including invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections
• Manage credit policies, customer credit limits, and cash collections to support healthy cash flow
• Oversee banking relationships, lines of credit, loan activity, and treasury operations
• Coordinate annual financial statement audits and serve as the primary audit contact
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance tracking across the organization
• Develop and maintain financial processes, controls, and documentation to support scalability
• Partner with leadership on expense management, job profitability, and operational decision‑making
• Support foreign currency planning and coordination related to international activity
• Oversee risk management and insurance programs, including annual renewals
• Serve as a backup resource for payroll processing when needed
• Act as a trusted financial advisor to executive leadership, proactively identifying risks and opportunities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
• 5–10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance leadership roles
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or project‑based environments strongly preferred
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
• High integrity, ownership mindset, and attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems preferred
