Position: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)  - Des Plaines, IL

A full-time Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at a middle school in Des Plaines, IL. This contract position offers a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, ideal for professionals seeking stable hours and the chance to make a significant impact on the communication development of middle school students.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 42‑50 middle school students.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Conduct evaluations, track student progress, and adjust therapy approaches as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and district requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute expert guidance on speech and language development.
Qualifications
  • Valid SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Experience working as a school‑based SLP, preferably with middle school students.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent experience is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a substantial caseload efficiently.
Schedule and Location
  • Full‑time, 35 hours weekly (8:15 AM to 3:30 PM with a 30‑minute lunch).
  • Position based in Des Plaines, Illinois.
  • Contract duration covers the current school year, with start date ASAP and end date pending.
