Our team of Account Managers and Staffing Coordinators work together to refer the highest caliber of professionals with degrees, certifications and licenses of varying levels in the fields of social services, psychiatry, occupational therapy, language speech pathology, special education teachers, para professionals, mental health, addictions treatment, allied therapies and pharmacy. We primarily provide service supplemental staffing services to school districts and charter schools, hospitals, community mental health centers, outpatient treatment facilities, and residential homes.
Job Description Primary responsibilities is to facilitate nursing activities for the agency by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation, and effectively interacts with staff and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
Specific Responsibilities
Monitors level of prescription medication available to clientsCoordinates psychiatric face-to-face consultations with clients as follows: (a) ascertain that all charts are available and (b) provide clinical feedback to psychiatristOrders prescriptions from pharmacyReceives prescriptions from pharmacyDelivers prescriptions to residential clientsReceives, reviews, records, and executes physician’s ordersMaintains medication logs and document necessary changes in dosage as per physician orders in day program as well as in residential programAdministers and performs other nursing procedures as per physician ordersConducts medication education and training sessions for staff and clients twice yearly; more frequently, if necessary. When new staff is employed within residential program, medication orientation must be provided to them during the first week of employment.Coordinates laboratory testing services as follows: (a) identify clients in need of laboratory testing; (b) prepare laboratory slips to request testing services; (c) receive and evaluate laboratory testing results; (d) document results accordinglyPerforms Pre-Admission Screening functionsPerforms the admission and discharge nursing assessment on assigned patients, including appropriate and timely charting and filingConducts and records health assessment screening on all admissionsParticipates in multi-disciplinary staffing and clinical team meetingsProvides consultation to staff and clients about medical questions and/or concerns and assist staff in planning and implementing appropriate medical interventionsAccompanies staff to physician’s appointments for program participants who are identified as being high-risk behaviorally and/or medicallyDocuments all activities on required documentsAttends training programs to improve and update professional skillsLocks up all medication for clients at all times; medication must never be left unsupervised on desks at any timePerform other duties as assignedQualifications
at least 1 year of medical detox experience on a detox unit
