Job Description

Bring your expertise and passion for helping students thrive as a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist working in a vibrant charter school network spanning communities from Chicago to North Chicago. This full-time, in-person contract opportunity supports students across multiple grades and locations, offering you the chance to make a significant impact throughout the academic year.

Ideal candidates hold current SLP-CCC credentials and enjoy working across diverse school settings. If you thrive in multicultural environments and have fluency in Spanish, your skills will be highly valued—although Spanish is preferred, it is not required for this role. Your assignments could include PreK through 8th grades, with primary responsibilities at two school sites and the possibility of serving a third.

Qualifications and

Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC), with eligibility for Illinois licensure
  • School-based SLP experience, preferably in multicultural or urban settings
  • Bilingual Spanish abilities are a plus, but not mandatory
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to students in PreK-8th grade
  • Complete assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and maintain ongoing documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Support students’ language, social, academic, and functional communication needs
  • Offer services across multiple sites; flexibility in working with diverse populations is essential

Enjoy working in a supportive academic environment where you will help students build communication skills that support their success in and out of the classroom.

Compensation for this position ranges from $41.40 to $61.40. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
