Job Summary
Clean guest rooms in accordance with established quality and performance standards to allow a sufficient quantity of vacant and clean guest rooms for sale. Clean occupied guest rooms.
Responsibilities- Clean and reset guest bedroom and bathroom areas according to established standards.
- Organize and stock cleaning cart and linen closets on assigned floors.
- Complete accurately and in a timely manner any assigned paperwork.
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
- Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests.
- Assist other housekeeping employees in maintaining clean and organized work and public areas.
- Most work tasks are performed indoors in moderate temperature controlled by hotel environmental systems.
- Ability to stand and exert well‑paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
- Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
- Ability to exert well‑paced ability in limited space.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfil cleaning tasks.
- Ability to reach different floors of the hotel on a timely basis.
- Manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
- Communication: able to talk and hear continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
- Vision: near vision and depth perception for continuous visual tasks.
- General physical functions: grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Most work tasks are performed indoors in moderate temperature controlled by hotel environmental systems.
- Must stand, move and sit for up to 8 hours.
- Must lift up to 50 lbs., push and pull carts up to 250 lbs.
- Requires ability to bend, stoop, squat, stretch, and reach.
- Requires manual dexterity, visual acuity, hearing, and communication.
This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed work day to include holidays or time of work if business or task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the amount of hours that you work.
Pay$19.89 - $23.41 per hour. This position has a fixed starting rate established by the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
